The "Little Willie" poems were written by an Englishman named Harry Graham, and he was widely imitated. The version I have published is a corruption. "I eat my peas with honey" is reported to be an anonymous rhyme collected by Edward Lear, another Englishman. The poem about the man who wasn't there is attributed to a man named Hughes Mearns, an American English teacher. Works published before 1923 are now in the public domain and may be freely reproduced.http://www.unc.edu/~unclng/public-d.htm
